Bloody Growth by Vincent J. Wallace is the second book in the Alexander Stern series. Alexander is happy, settled into expanding his companies, but when an expected event puts him on a different track, he acquires a company he never considered before. Unfortunately, the risks may just be too great. He’s made enemies along the way but Angelo Moretti is the most powerful and sets about making life difficult for Alexander, competing against him and pushing him into a situation that may just change his life. He soon learns that success sometimes comes at an extortionate price, one that may not be worth paying, leading Alexander and his wife to make a decision they’ve been thinking of making for some time. Will it work out for Alexander or will Moretti destroy his life?

Bloody Growth by Vincent J. Wallace is an engaging and compelling story that grips you from the start. The plot is strong, fast-paced, and filled with plenty of action, twists, and turns. It’s a story that will make you think, wondering whether success at any cost is worth it, as you follow Alexander through the challenges he faces. It’s also got a feel-good factor to it. Descriptive prose draws you into the story and holds you as the plot builds and becomes more intense. The characters truly drive this story to become well-developed people you want to love or hate, people we can all relate to on some level. A gripping thriller, this will excite fans of the first story and those who love crime thrillers with plenty of tense action.

Bloody Growth by Vincent J. Wallace is a story of corporate intrigue that is sharp and intelligent. The opening sentence in the first chapter immediately tells you where the main conflict stems from: It was time to evolve. And Alexander Stern did pursue the growth and evolution of his business. It is outperforming, but he has concrete plans on how to take it to the next level. Acquisitions are part of his master plan and he sets his sights on acquiring the National Development Bank, despite investing all he has in Alliance and Adagio Associates. Corporate success is boring if you don’t earn some enemies on your way to the top. Angelo Moretti is a corporate Machiavelli bent on making life difficult for Alexander, who will be pushed into challenging situations that will put a strain on his relationship with his business partners.

What is remarkable in Bloody Growth is Vincent J. Wallace’s control of tone. He doesn’t just put Alexander in one predicament after another; he creates an atmosphere that brings a certain logic to the next conflict. It will largely remind you of those movies about corporate greed like Wall Street and Barbarians at the Gate. Wallace has his own style: sneaky, subtle, and elegant. Moretti makes an excellent foil as an executive villain that brings out the best in Alexander. What I enjoyed about this story is Alexander’s courage under fire. It is not easy to run an empire, and even more so if saboteurs are operating to tear down what you have built. At the same time, Alexander’s corporate life is not the whole of him. There is his wife, Gabrielle, who stands with him and joins him in his dreams. Bloody Growth is a must-read because it lets you see how its main character becomes a witness to the outcomes of his own excellence.

Bloody Growth is the second novel in the Alexander Stern series by Vincent J. Wallace. Alexander Stern’s companies are doing well, thanks to his hard work. However, things are about to go downhill very quickly, and Alexander knows that. His partners for Alliance are not the same anymore, but that is the least of his problems. Being successful has made him a target of a powerful and dangerous man who wants to make Alexander’s life hell. Angelo Moretti is an influential man who has his sights set on Alexander and his successful business. He wants to take over and ruin Alexander’s life. But Alexander is not alone. He and Christopher Mattis fight off Angelo’s advances and keep Gabrielle safe while his business is under threat. Can Alexander keep his wife safe? Can he keep his business safe?

Bloody Growth is a crime novel with thrills and mystery to keep you entertained for hours. This novel is full of action and suspense! I thought it might feature boring business references in every chapter without regard for an audience with very limited interest in the topic. However, I was surprised by how well the author kept the balance. Vincent J. Wallace knows how to write a compelling story and pique readers’ interest while staying true to the story. The pace is fast without being too fast. The characters are given ample opportunity to develop, and the dialogues are perfectly composed. Alexander and Christopher are great friends who have a lot of respect for each other. Alexander is a completely different person when he is with Gabrielle. He is more gentle and more vulnerable with her. Interesting and written to perfection! A fantastic read!
