Author Biography

I’m Jessica Ashley, and I am a three-time award winning author of faith-filled stories where swoony romance meets edge-of-your-seat suspense.

My goal is simple: to remind readers that even in the darkest moments, God’s love shines through with hope, healing, and redemption.

I believe fiction has the power not just to entertain but to transform. Growing up, I saw how stories of faith and love could bring hope. So I pour this experience into the stories I write where characters face real danger—literal or emotional—but through faith, love, and courage, they emerge changed.

When I’m not writing, I’m homeschooling my three kids, baking homemade bread, or sneaking in quiet moments with my husband in our Texas home.

My stories are clean, heartfelt, and written to inspire. Because I believe fiction should stir the heart, strengthen faith, and leave you with a smile.

Jessica Ashley's Bravo: Hunt Brothers Search & Rescue is a gripping romantic suspense novel set against the rugged backdrop of Texas ranch life, intertwined with daring rescue missions. The story follows Bradyn Hunt, a former Special Forces operative turned head of Hunt Brothers Search & Rescue. He dedicates himself to rescuing victims from human trafficking and other dark threats. His quiet strength and unwavering faith contrast with Kennedy Smith, a woman on the run from her past, hiding as a ranch hand on the Hunt family’s property. As Kennedy struggles with her secrets and the danger closing in from her past, she falls for Bradyn, whose protective nature and faith offer her hope. When her enemies discover her location, she must decide whether to keep running or fight for the love she’s found—and for her life.

While the plot is twisty and filled with intriguing points, the characters won my heart. Bradyn is a resilient, faith-driven hero whose past military service shapes his dedication to justice and rescue. Kennedy is complex and guarded, haunted by trauma and secrets, yet her bond with the Hunt family and her faith hint at the possibility of healing. The setting shifts from the dark, jungle hideouts of international human trafficking operations to the warm, tight-knit ranch community in Texas, a contrast that I found thoughtful and indicative of the conflict that is also well-handled. Bravo deftly explores themes of trust, whether in each other, faith, or divine purpose, and the redemptive power of love that refuses to give up. Jessica Ashley has crafted a captivating romance filled with tension, engaging characters, a delightful plot, and a satisfying denouement.

Bradyn is a strong character, in mind, body, and spirit. His faith in God is the foundation of his life and he has a wonderful bond with his family, which are aspects that I liked. Kennedy’s life has been almost destroyed by others’ greed, and her faith is nearly gone; how could God allow these things to happen? Bradyn’s desire is to keep her safe and lead her back to God.

Their lives are in constant danger from an unknown enemy, which definitely kept me turning the pages. Their attraction is fairly instant, but their love grows over their time together. They get a HEA with an unexpected development for Kennedy.

I enjoyed the story; it is clean and has a strong spiritual base. The writing style is easy to read and the plot flows together very well.

I loved the start of Hunt Brother’s Search and Rescue, Bravo. Bradyn and Kennedy’s story was a beautiful and interesting one. I was left with feeling so much. Even when things didn’t go like Kennedy and Bradyn wanted God was still faithful and trustworthy. I love how Bradyn and Kennedy had that instant attraction to each other and how Bradyn would fight to the end for her. There was lots of danger and being in danger but that suspense kept me on edge of my seat.

For anyone intrigued by stories of rescue, both physical and spiritual, then you will throughly enjoy Bravo. Bradyn and Kennedy’s story is such a great read and it will make you sad when it’s over. There are many twists and turns and, of course, suspense that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat! I loved all the characters that we get to meet in the 1st book of the Hunt Brothers series. It is beautifully written. One piece I especially enjoyed was how their Christian beliefs are woven into the story. They are just naturally set into the storyline, offering a gentle yet powerful message about grace and forgiveness. Sometimes we all need help in the hard times in our lives. I think if you try this 1st book, you will be hooked and ready to read the rest!

Bravo, written by Jessica Ashley, was a book that I couldn't put down!! The town where Bradyn grew up looked out for each of the Hunt brothers, yet they seemed to understand that Bradyn was in charge over the family land. All of the Hunt family was close, with love and faith at the base of their strong family tree.

Bradyn and Kennedy both had secretive things to work through when they met, yet, they were loyal in many similar ways. They both had a past trauma that filled them with terror and drew the battle lines between them and the outside world. When Kennedy's past drew them closer to one another, the harder they worked to stay alive to end the threat. Kennedy wanted the deaths of her family, and her friend, to not be in vain.

The thing that drew me into this this story was the family's tight-knit adoration they have for each other. The Hunts have proven to be rock solid, loving, and giving to anyone they call friend. Throughout the danger, Kennedy becomes entrusted to be a friend to Bradyn and his family, where the wheels of time and friendship become tightly woven. Can a promise of honor and love draw Bradyn in to save Kennedy as his own forever? I give this book 5 out of 5 stars as it was an exciting read, filled forever with love and faith.
