Brett is a detective who thinks he is an Adonis (even though he has no idea what an Adonis is!). He is handsome (or so he thinks)and is apparently proud of his mustache. Looks like a blonde bimbo does not need to be a girl necessarily. Brett is a chick magnet and he knows it.In short, Brett thinks he is awesome, and every piece of female meat he sees needs to be tapped. But when he is approached by a particular Rankin chick he knows that he will have to work for it. He is in need of a serious case that will help him achieve that luxurious retirement, but this case is a little more work then he anticipated. And it looks like Brett Gets Hammered really good this time.

A hilarious novel, indeed. David D. D'Aguanno has done a great job with Brett Gets Hammered. The whole situation is amazing and Brett's comments and thoughts are something to behold. A few of the dialogues left me wheezing and chuckling loudly. The humor of the novel is perfect and balanced, nothing is over the top. An amazingly symmetric novel that is definitely a keeper. Brett and his adventures get better as the novel progresses so I would advise not to keep a drink in hand because you will be sputtering it out every now and then. This novel is that good. David D. D'Aguanno has done it again with yet another Brett fiasco.
