Burning Intuition (Intuition Series Book 2) by Makenzi Fisk is a hair-raising thriller. Derek is in prison for crimes he didn't commit. Lily feels no remorse or regret that her father is behind bars because of his effort to protect her. Erin was instrumental in putting Derek behind those bars. Although Derek has perpetrated other crimes, Erin believes that he is innocent of the one for which he is serving time. Allie is having flashbacks, premonitions, and nightmares of a growing evil that is threatening all that it touches. The previous year shadows their present lives. The way Lily's case was concluded left Erin, Allie, and all those who had been involved with an uneasy feeling. An element of evil is prevalent wherever Lily is, and horrifying deaths follow in her wake. Allie and Erin decide that they need to resolve what happened with Lily and Derek so that they can move on with their lives. Allie's intuition guides Erin in her quest for justice for a man wrongly imprisoned, and helps her as she seeks to stop a killer and prevent more murders. Will they be able to stay ahead of a psychopathic murderer and put an end to the destruction of innocent lives? Or will they be the next victims?
Burning Intuition (Intuition Series Book 2) by Makenzi Fisk is the second thrilling installment in the Intuition Series. If you liked the first book, you will love the second. Although I hadn't read the first book, the author did an excellent job incorporating it into this one and I didn't get lost. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to read this book. It was marvelous. I found myself holding my breath many times throughout the story and had to tell myself to breathe. Lily's character is frightening and haunting. The book is chilling and gave me the creeps. I love a story that affects my senses without a major amount of gore. This is a perfectly balanced murder thriller. I loved this book and I recommend it to those who are over the age of sixteen and love a suspenseful thriller with a psychopathic twist.
