But It’s Okay If I Do It: True Confessions of an Unintentional A$$HOLE by Shirley Laffa reads like an afternoon gossip with a cup of tea or a fun time with a friend over a bottle of Prosecco. Yes, it is that good! Whether she lets the reader in about her specific cravings or shares the instances where she judges someone too quickly, each story is personable and endearing. This is the perfect book to curl up with after a stressful day; trust me, you'll be laughing in no time. My favorite anecdote is the one where she mistakes a hernia for pregnancy. It is a gentle reminder not to assume anything, no matter how prominent the signs are. Another one that will stay with me for a long time is the "insane vs in Spain" fiasco. I'm cautious about revealing too much, so I’ll stop here.

Shirley Laffa's conversational tone combined with bite-sized yet engaging anecdotes makes this book an absolute delight. The moral of the story at the end of each chapter is the metaphorical cherry on top of an already delicious cake. While the author adopts a light tone in this book, it imparts profound lessons that, if embraced, can enrich the moral fabric of our world. If you are looking for a quick read, filled with fun and light anecdotes, look no further than But It’s Okay If I Do It by Shirley Laffa. I highly recommend this book.
