Other characters include Patrick’s brother and friend who are overprotective and often concerned about his choices, which creates some friction for this developing relationship. The setting is modern with references to shopping and evading the media. Articles are included that follow the progress of the relationship with gossip and reporting that reminds you of what the risks are and what they have to lose.
