Chasing Phantoms by Inna Tamir follows Vera Simkin, a healer who, after encountering a strange being named Kaliga, finds that her whole world is turned upside down. After being instructed to find a suitable apartment, she runs into an old high school crush who happens to be looking for a flatmate. Andrian was by no means her first love, but he was definitely the one she remembers; only it seems he doesn’t remember her. The two start living together and it almost seems like fate has brought them together but is it really fate or are there other forces at work?

Chasing Phantoms by Inna Tamir draws readers into a world where the line between reality and the supernatural is as blurred as the line between fate and free will. What begins as a chance reunion quickly unfolds into something far deeper, as long-buried feelings resurface and hidden truths begin to emerge. The romance between Vera and Adrian is tender, emotionally complex, and steeped in longing. Tamir skillfully weaves in themes of unrequited love, second chances, and the metaphysical nature of soul connections, creating a love story that’s both deeply human and spiritually resonant. As the story unfolds, paranormal elements, reincarnation, and mysterious forces that bend reality add layers of intrigue and wonder. Chasing Phantoms is an emotionally rich, genre-blending tale of love that defies logic, life, and even lifetimes. With luminous prose and unforgettable characters, it’s a story for romantics, mystics, and anyone who believes that some connections are written in the stars. I absolutely loved this story and I think it’s a must-read for fans of paranormal romance.

Chasing Phantoms: Butterflies on the Net by Inna Tamir spins a lyrical, cross-dimensional love story steeped in longing, magic, and the ache of the almost-possible. We’re with Vera, who finds her life spiraling in unexpected directions after a strange night in the forest. But nothing prepares her for reuniting with Adrian Gordon, the man she’s loved since high school. Their connection feels fated right up until fate reveals its own agenda. As Vera’s metaphysical gifts collide with real-world consequences, she’s forced to choose between her own happiness and Adrian’s salvation. Rich with reincarnation, spirit encounters, and fragile hope, this is a love story where time and space are merely suggestions.

Author Inna Tamir has a knack for emotion in her storytelling that really fills you with the feelings of her characters, and that makes for a wistful and haunting paranormal romance that walks the line between dream and reality beautifully. I loved the language choices that bring us into Vera’s world, and she’s a deeply empathetic heroine with a believable emotional journey, thanks to the close detail in how her speech and thoughts come across. There’s plenty more elegant prose to capture both the cosmic wonder of the strange metaphysical powers she has and the sense of very human vulnerability that comes with the tough choices she has to make. There’s also a fantastic balance in the pacing and themes of the story to keep everything relevant, but also continue a gradual exploration of fate and free will with originality and heart. Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend Chasing Phantoms to fans of well-penned, ethereal journeys that transport the reader in a fantastic escape.

Chasing Phantoms by Inna Tamir centers on Vera Simkin, a healer uniquely able to work with extraterrestrials, as she strives to integrate her alien-assisted healing mission with her complicated personal life. After relocating to Haifa to open a healing clinic alongside alien colleagues like Kaliga and Avshalom, Vera juggles a strained relationship with Adrian Gordon while confronting her emotional and spiritual upheaval. She pushes for deeper, trust-based cooperation with the extraterrestrials, advocating for group meetings to enhance connection despite their cultural differences. Vera also facilitates healing sessions, including one for patient Masha, and manages issues from family and friends. As Vera leads a hybrid human-extraterrestrial group on love and relationships, the frustration of her companions’ erased memories of their shared experiences surfaces, forcing her to balance her earthly attachments, her mission, and the aliens’ inscrutable protocols, all while seeking meaning and connection across worlds.

Chasing Phantoms by Inna Tamir is a thoughtfully constructed story with a wonderfully unique plot. It's the first time I've ever read a book about a healer attuned to extraterrestrial beings, and Tamir hits it out of this world. The writing is clear and straightforward, with smooth transitions between scenes and character perspectives. Tamir allows us to discover Vera’s unconventional healing methods organically, and it's interesting to have a front-row seat to her evolving relationships with both humans and aliens. The depiction of her group mechanics is thorough and immersive, and we even witness a spaceship, while the author’s attention to dialogue and inner thoughts enriches character development. Overall, this first installment in the Butterflies on the Net series sets the tone for what is to come, and if it is anywhere as great as Chasing Phantoms, readers are guaranteed an enjoyable read as they consider the boundaries of understanding and communication. Very highly recommended.
