Candysaurus is a charming and very sweet (pun intended) children's book written by Brandee Huddleston and illustrated by Courtney Huddleston. Candysaurus is a tiny dinosaur who is made entirely out of candy. At first, the other dinosaurs are alienated by Candysaurus, but when he saves the day, the other dinosaurs cheer his name out loud, and he feels part of the younger dinosaur tribe. Not bad for a dinosaur whose skin and tail are made of fluffy marshmallow, his feet of gumdrops, and his spikes of candy corn! The extremely colorful illustrations contribute to the story's positive nature.
Candysaurus: A Sweet Dinosaur Adventure is an enjoyable book that deals with important themes. Among other social issues, it shows how outsiders always have a place as well, and that others should give them a fair chance in life, whether they are children or adults. The plot is very well thought out, and the story will be enjoyable to adults and thought-provoking for its young audience. The illustrations are exquisite and playful, adding extra cheer to the story as a whole. Brandee and Courtney Huddleston have created the perfect little book for young readers. The life lessons it teaches children are of invaluable importance. As with all children's books, parents want to know that it is a safe and non-prejudiced story, and this is definitely the case with Brandee's creative and cheerful writing and Courtney's playful and colorful illustrations. You can't go wrong with this tale about an adorable candy dinosaur and his young friends.
