Cartel Hunter, a mind-blowing crime action tale from the Jason Mulder thriller series, follows Jason's spine-chilling plot to take down a drug cartel. Jason Mulder has a duty as an Air Force pararescueman to save lives. Unfortunately, he is forced to leave his job to hunt cartel members when his brother is killed on an Indian reservation by drug dealers. Victor Romero, the villain and the major reason for Jason's woes, is one tough, mean fellow. His illegal business operates with a "kill first and ask questions later" mantra. However, our brave protagonist—armed with military weapons and gear, skilled in Shotokan Karate and Krav Maga, and joined by two capable allies—is the right man to take down this organization since local law enforcement is incapable. Will Jason succeed, or will his loss and trauma slow him down?

An inspiring protagonist! Jason puts in the effort to be physically fit to save people from danger. Also, he knows his way around guns like the HK416 and M&P 15-22. Furthermore, Robert's clear description of the fights gave me a feeling of being in the heat of the action. I cringed and jumped in reaction to the surprise attacks, knife cuts, and bullet exchanges like I was experiencing them physically. Though the book is mostly fast-paced and action-packed, it also includes deep characterization and a rich representation of loss, love, anger, and other emotions. If you love John Wick or Jason Bourne, you should read Cartel Hunter. As displayed in the book, Robert Goluba's brilliant storytelling is bound to refine your taste in action books and render anything subpar less attractive.
