Chakras For Beginners: The 7 Chakras Guide On How to Balance your Energy Body through Chakra Healing by author Jill Hesson is a great beginner’s guide to chakra identification. Included in the book are chakra locations so the reader knows, right away, where each chakra is located in the body, and a graphic illustration to aid in chakra education. The book then goes on to help the reader learn about blockages of chakras and how this can translate to disease and disorders. For example, a blockage in the solar plexus might denote digestive problems. There is also lifestyle help included, such as correct posture and breathing instructions, advice for eating and drinking, and how to heal the chakras. Yoga poses are also explored, making this a great book for the health-conscious.
There were many highlights in Chakras For Beginners: The 7 Chakras Guide On How to Balance your Energy Body through Chakra Healing, including the 748 breathing method. As I already knew the chakra locations, I was eager to learn about healing the chakras, such as with the 'om' chanting and the specific yoga poses. I would have loved more visual aids, especially with the yoga poses, but in a short book, the structure works well overall. The introduction and conclusion were done well, and author Jill Hesson certainly gives the beginner a personal, educated guide to chakra locations and healing. I would recommend the book to beginners looking to explore different chakra locations or identify chakra blockages. It is a terrific guide to not only chakra identification, but also meditation, yoga, and well-being.
