Chaos In The Blink Of An Eye by Patrick Higgins is the prequel to an award-winning end times series in the tradition of the Left Behind books. Just like the beginnings of all good disaster movies, Higgins establishes various characters whose stories are likely to intertwine as the story continues. These characters include New York City taxi driver Tamika Moseley, Michigan football fan Brian Mulrooney and his friends, U.S. President Jefferson Danforth, and many others. The action focuses around the November Michigan-Ohio State football game, which is where extraordinary events will be broadcast on live TV.

Patrick Higgins won me over from the start with his humility and genuineness. In his “For your consideration” note to readers, Higgins doesn’t claim to have all the answers, or the date, or that he has events in their correct order – he simply explains his interpretation as he understands it. I found Chaos In The Blink of an Eye to be well-written, concise, and with clear descriptions to establish each character. There are a lot of characters, but they were so well-drawn that it was easy for me to remember who was who, and I really appreciated that! I recently read the entire Left Behind series and I have to say that from this promising beginning, I believe the Chaos In The Blink Of An Eye series might be even better. It is not written solely for Christians, and so I would recommend the Chaos series to anyone who enjoys dystopian fiction or a good disaster movie.

The Chaos books has to be one of the top books in this kind of writing. I agree that they are just as good if not better than the Left Behind books. I look forward to each book in the series. I have read them all and am trying to patiently wait for number 6 and I am not a patient person.

When reading these books, you get so caught up in them you almost feel as if you are there and it is happening now.

I absolutely love these books. They are well written, I like the authors ideas on how things possibly can happen.

If you haven't read these or any of his other books, get them. You won't be disappointed. You will wonder why did you not find them earlier.

His brother Michael Higgins has also written a book. Get it!
