Charter World by William Frame is an imaginative sci-fi novel set in a future where royal bloodlines, hidden secrets, and interplanetary politics shape the fate of entire empires. The story begins with a shocking family confession that uncovers a decades-old deception involving the imperial throne and the abduction of its rightful heir, Jennifer Hendricks. While the empire believes she died in a fire, Jennifer is alive, living in exile on a distant planet called Planos. The novel follows several characters, including Kelly Sterling and Empress Isabella, as they uncover layers of political betrayal, ancient family rivalries, and survival in hostile worlds. As truths unravel and power shifts, Jennifer’s hidden life, her relationships with the native people, and her refusal to return to Earth raise questions about identity, duty, and freedom. The story blends advanced technology, emotional depth, and survivalist adventure in a galaxy full of danger and change.
William Frame’s writing is detailed, thoughtful, and emotionally engaging. The pace is steady, allowing readers to absorb the complex political background and character development without feeling overwhelmed. The plot is layered and well-structured, with action scenes that are tense and vivid, especially the confrontations with alien predators like the terrifying Kessra. The characters are well written—Jennifer, Taric, Isabella, and Kelly all feel real and relatable. The themes of truth, sacrifice, and personal freedom are handled with care. As someone who enjoys science fiction with depth and heart, I found this book deeply immersive and emotionally satisfying. Charter World is a compelling mix of drama, science, and survival that kept me turning pages with interest.
