Gary Turcotte continues his Fortune Teller series with Children of the Fortune Teller. I suggest reading these books in order. The author does explain the background in the prologue. A fortune teller inherits the sight from their mother or father on the eve of their funeral. Ryan inherited a double portion. Both his mother and father were gifted. A double fortune teller was capable of manipulating crowds.

Dicky and Ryan were raised as twins although they were not brothers. The boys were only seven when Ryan’s abilities became apparent. It did not take Ryan long to learn how to manipulate people. He developed a following. They looked to him as their savior.

Ryan met a young woman and developed a relationship with her. Father David was one of his followers and left the priesthood. There was rumor of a legend that must be fulfilled.

I do not want to give away too much of the plot. I want the reader to enjoy the roller coaster ride. This book will keep the reader guessing all the way to the end.

Mysticism, legends, prophecy, and suspense fill the pages of this book. Gary Turcotte’s gets better with each book. The characters are well developed and so is the plot. Children of the Fortune Teller is available in both paperback and audio book. Both are equally satisfying.
