Melina Druga has written a very charming and down-to-earth holiday tale through four authentic voices. Cassandra was sharp-witted, Phil was full of passion, Jennifer was sincere, and Corey demonstrated thoughtful restraint. They each added depth and felt very real. The story revealed how cultures, class, and personal goals can pull lovers together or drive them apart. The strength of the story was its natural dialogue and emotional rawness. The author captured the warmth of family gatherings and the sting of expectations that are universal and relatable. Fans of modern ensemble romances like Love, Rosie by Cecelia Ahern or One Day in December by Josie Silver would enjoy the cozy, character-driven Not Just Another Dysfunctional Christmas.
