Cinna and Time: A New Nursery Rhyme by TM Banh is a sweet story that is the perfect treat parents can share with their children and makes for an ideal bedtime tale. Time is one very lucky dog. She was found in the back of a blue truck by the owner who adopted Time. Together they make a happy family. Three years later when celebrating their time together as a family, Time realizes that she’s rather lonely and longs for someone that she can play with. Her parents come up with a special plan - a lovable new dog which gives Time a brand new sister. This is a sweet tale about gaining a new sibling and encourages children to see the friendship that comes from the relationship.
The illustrations are sweet and playful with fun shapes and colors that pair well with the light tone of the nursery rhyme. The writing has a rhyme scheme that parents will enjoy reading to their children. It is a cozy tale that is warm and inviting, which makes it perfect for bedtime. Children gaining a new sibling will see the perks of having someone they can play with and someone they can have a lasting friendship with.
