Cloaked: A Wulfkin Legacy Novella by T.F. Walsh features Daciana, a werewolf who is spending a year living amongst the humans so she can be a fully fledged member of the pack. She gets a job and has been hiding her secret from everyone around her. After she makes a mistake and there is a robbery at her place of work, she risks her job and her future. She needs to recover the bear cubs that were taken if she is to keep her job. As the police investigate the case, Daciana finds herself in the middle of two warring cops, but she finds herself attracted to one of them. Daciana uses her werewolf senses to try to help them solve the case ... if she can keep her hands to herself around Connell.
T.F. Walsh has produced a good story in Cloaked: A Wulfkin Legacy Novella. The main character is interesting and well written. A lot of werewolf novels have the main character fighting against being a wolf, but Daciana is happy with what she is and changing on the full moon. She is doing her best to fit in with the humans while hiding her secret. I thought the setting was different, being in Transylvania, and that it worked well for the story. The tension between Connell and Anton was well written and understandable, considering what Anton did. I think this book will do quite well on the market. I enjoy urban fantasy like this and would recommend the book to other readers.
