Confident Public Speaking: Being Heard Above the Noise by Rosemarie Barnes is an insightful book and gives good tips on how to have the voice of a great speaker so that you can be heard above the noise. The book deals with the different types of public speakers that we come across, and how they make a difference in the lives of the audience. A good speaker will prepare the audience to engage, limit the amount of information given, provide a reinforcing opportunity, and offer a strong call to action. The book gives excellent tips and techniques on how to make presentations more powerful and form an impression in the minds of the audience.

The book is helpful and is a good guide for public speakers as it tells them what is important to capture the attention of the audience while speaking. The author handles the topic with finesse and the topics flow from one to the next methodically and with ease. All suggestions can be easily incorporated into one’s public speaking sessions effortlessly.
