Counterfeit Warrior is a crime murder mystery thriller written by Donald Collins. Cold Case Squad Detective Steve Danski and his partner Gregory Litchfield reopen a murder case of a woman named Sarah Hillman who was killed seven years ago in Flushing, New York. As they delve deep into the investigation, the clues lead them to a dating agency called Togetherness. Upon questioning its members linked to Sarah, Danski and Litchfield stumble on the trail of a war veteran. But Curtis Romansky is no war veteran, rather a con artist who lies and manipulates his way through life. After tracking him across multiple states, the officers realize that Curtis seems to be always one step ahead. As the bodies keep piling up, can Danski and Litchfield capture their man before one of their loved ones gets hurt?

Counterfeit Warrior is an enthralling game of cat and mouse that keeps you on the edge of your seat from the first page until the end. Author Donald Collins tells a gripping story of a psychopath who never hesitates to embody other personalities to survive and kills at a moment's notice whenever someone catches up to him. The plot moves at a breakneck speed with twists and turns along the way that you never see coming. The author provides a distinct voice to each of his characters and fleshes them out with crisp and concise dialogue and a realistic narrative style. Curtis is a captivating antagonist who you love to hate. If you're a fan of neo-noir sleuth stories, I highly recommend Counterfeit Warrior.
