County Fair Blue Ribbon Winning Cookbook, Series 1 by Amber Richards offers a tempting variety of Main Dishes, Casseroles and Vegetable Recipes. Nibble on Grilled Zucchini Fries with Garlic Herb seasoning and Grated Parmesan, while deciding if Sausage Bake Southwest Style, Spice Shrimp and Frozen Margarita, or Pork with Maple Ginger Sauce should be included on your dinner menu. Try the Cheesy Polenta Casserole, Cornbread and Rhubarb Stuffing, or Bacon, Green Pea and Cashew Salad. Pasta and Turkey Soup is one of several hearty soups you will enjoy, as well as the Cranberry and Sweet Potato Crepes. Chicken Tenders with Coconut Crust, Little Sausage Buns and Pizza Waffles will quickly become family favourites.
County Fair Blue Ribbon Winning Cookbook is the first in the series of blue ribbon recipes that Amber Richards has published. Her other series will include cakes, cookies, pies, breads, and other desserts that are not mentioned in this book. All recipes are blue ribbon winning ones (1st place), and some gained higher ranking such as Grand Champion or Best in Show winners. I thought the recipes were appealing while being nutritious based on ingredients used, which are readily available. Bisquick is one of the ingredients used in some recipes that are quick and easy to prepare. There is a handy converter tool to assist with correct measurements and abbreviation terms of cooking words. Amber Richards has written a terrific cookbook with an attractive cover. It is family friendly and is a “must have” for any kitchen.
