Michelle is a painter, poet, storyteller, and early childhood educator with a passion for nature and nurturing creativity and curiosity in children’s hearts and minds. She has more than twenty years’ experience introducing animals, art, and writing to young people in diverse settings, including public schools, museums, and institutes for gifted children. Over the years, she has developed her own interdisciplinary method of fostering creative thinking and appreciation for nature.

Creative Children like the Animals of the World is the unique product of her research, childhood development work, and collaboration with her two daughters, who teach her lessons on creative thinking every single day.

Michelle believes much of children’s negative behavior derives from stifled or ignored creativity, and she hopes this book provides them an opportunity to express their inner genius, which will help pave their way to a fulfilling and happy life.

This is a lovely book to stimulate children's curiosity and imagination. My favourite page is the front where the child becomes the co-author of the book! So many great activities to promote science, storytelling, art and creative thinking! Children will love this book!

My 7 year old nephew absolutely loves this book. He says "It's absolutely incredible" and even made a video to send to me to tell me how much he enjoys it. He loves the nature and creative side of the book the most. He's a smart kid so it takes a lot to hold his attention but this book has really impressed him.

An intriguing and inviting collection of short stories, letters, poems, and thoughts to children. All enhanced by beautiful and brilliant illustrations. I particularly like the letter format that makes the collection an interactive dialogue between the writer and the reader. A must for any collection of read alouds between parent and child.

I loved every bit of this book. I found it both heart-warming and inspiring.

Ruth, Center of Creativit

"I found the book very inspiring. I liked the combination of the stories, the poems and the places left for the children to paint. The poems are very good for the older kids and the paintings for the smaller kids. I also found the packaging very appealing with the happy colors making it exciting to read. Michelle has done an excellent job and I recommend the book to parents and teachers."

Mwangi, aged 10, Kenya

"It is a very good book especially for kids from 7 years and especially interested to learn about art."

Sarit and Ofir Samuel

"Our academy's curriculum is based on nature and environment. Michelle's literature and magnificent paintings carry the children every time to a different world, and challenge them to think in a new creative way about our world. The activities in the book are inspiring the children's imagination beyond our expectations.

Each and every child painted his or her own unique peacock inspired by Michelle's peacock paintings with acrylic colors! Without doubt it was a great experience and concentration was longer than usual.

We're happy to say that the children are looking forward to this lesson every week: to hear how the caterpillar transformed into a butterfly, about the camouflage colors of the female peacock, and many more stories.
Thank you so much, Michelle."

Noah aged 8 New Zealand

"It was extremely marvellous ... the pictures were like Monet's."
