Deadly Pranks is a truly incredible work of fiction, and a thriller the reader will not soon forget. Donald Rush has created the idyllic town of Kirtland, Ohio, where four boys enjoy playing pranks on people, camping out in the mountains, and playing sports. Their pranks start out as fairly innocent acts, but as they grow up, the seriousness of the pranks begins to show. The boys felt there was nothing wrong with what they did until one farmer, plagued by their pranks, suffered a heart attack and died, leaving his two daughters alone and seeking revenge. With meticulous planning, the girls manage to kidnap the boys at gunpoint and keep them locked in cages like the animals they are. Will the girls be caught by the police, will the pranks of the boys come to light, or does the author have an entirely different twist in mind for the reader?
Donald Rush, the author of Deadly Pranks, has created an incredible story involving youthful pranks gone wrong, payback, and revenge. I applaud Rush’s character and plot development. Each action taken by the characters leads into the next and the next through outstanding flow. Each character is so well developed, the reader will be able to envision them as real people standing in front of them. The reader will develop a solid understanding of each of the boys as well as the pain the girls are feeling. There are the main plots within this book, but there are also several smaller plots happening at the same time. This is an exceptionally written book, one that I highly recommend. I was unable to put it down. I needed to know what happens but was totally unprepared for the ending. Congratulations to Donald Rush for creating such an incredible ending! Bravo!
