Fighting to bring criminals to justice, a young deputy is an irrepressible force to be reckoned with in the gripping thriller Dell's Dilemma (Red Mist Girls: Book Three) by M L Biddison. Sleeping over at her friend Vicky's house, Deputy Dell awakens in the snow with a head wound and a cut in her side. Crawling back to the house to call for help, Dell's suspicions are confirmed that Vicky has been abducted. Joining the search for her missing friend, she discovers that a cult is responsible for Vicky's abduction. With the combined efforts of the FBI and local law enforcement, Dell tries to rescue Vicky, only she refuses to leave. Dell can't understand why Vicky has rejected Dell's attempt to free her from her captors. When Dell discovers Vicky's captors are also under suspicion for receiving stolen federal property, she welcomes the incentive to go after them with a renewed sense of vigor. Can Dell help Vicky escape the commune and the men who put her there? Or will she lose her friend forever?
Dell's Dilemma (Red Mist Girls: Book Three) by M L Biddison is a riveting thriller filled with suspense and action. Complete with an intense storyline and intriguing plot, the captivating characters held me enthralled from the first page to the last. I found the protagonist Dell to be engaging, likable, and something of a delightful enigma. Wherever she goes, chaos ensues, and someone invariably gets shot and lands in the hospital. Although this is not the first book in the series, it is an excellent stand-alone novel. However, due to the violent content with mildly sensual scenes, I recommend it to mature readers.
