Double Shot of Living by Natasha Von Imhof is a thrilling read that will make you think. Lynn Roberts was 51 when she died in a car crash, but instead of heading to the afterlife, she found herself somewhere totally unexpected—inside the body of a teenage girl. She’s shocked, but she must have come back for a purpose. As a 51-year-old trapped in a younger body, she gets to relive youth but with the wisdom that comes with age. Although she’s been given another shot at life, she has to find out why.

Double Shot of Living is Natasha Von Imhof’s debut novel, and what an entrance it is to the literary world. I guess most of us have said at one time, “If only I knew then what I know now,” and this story perfectly encapsulates what it means to be given a second go at life. This novel is full of heart, and it’s a fun read, too. But it’s also quite a deep book, as it ponders on the meaning of not just being given a second chance but, at some level, the meaning of life itself. It’s a fast read full of action, humor, and lots of twists that will keep you turning the pages. You’ll be 100% invested in Lynn/Lindy’s character as she navigates teenage life again and all the pitfalls and heartache that go with it. This is a fascinating story that might just make readers think about their lives and the choices they’ve made. Most of all, though, it will make you wonder just how well you really know yourself. A thoroughly enjoyable read, and highly recommended to anyone who has ever wondered what they would do with a second chance at life.
