Do you dream? Do you ever wonder what your dreams really mean? In Slavica Joković’s Dreams, the author explores some of her own dreams, beginning with a dream about an earlier era, walking with someone special, only to run into the same person in the present. Did the dream recall something? A past event in another life? Dreams can be mysterious, even curious. But they are also inspirational and sometimes full of wisdom and intuition. Dreams can also offer justice and hope for a better future. These unusual events during our hours of rest and sojourn can also be a source of self-identity. Can we really, truly understand and appreciate the full nature of our dreams?
Slavica Joković’s book, Dreams, is a collection of stories that recollect her dreams and reflections on these dreams. Written like a story, but also like a memoir, these snippets of a life with dreams are fascinating to follow. The author provides the scenario, the story behind her dreams, then she allows the reader to draw some of their own conclusions, to define what they think the dreams mean. The language is soothing and draws the reader into the story, making the reader want more. The author also includes some messages from her dreams, her interpretation of their underlying meaning. Dreams are curious entities that leave the dreamer amazed at both the content and the plot that it inevitably follows. This is a comprehensive and fascinating read for those who dream and wish to understand more about their dreams.
