Author Biography

Anna was born in the extreme South along some famous beaches in Chile. She is the third child and twins with her sister Elena. She grew up with four other siblings being placed in the middle. The green eyed, brown haired author found a mother in her husband’s mother and loves her dearly. She accredits her mother-in-law with teaching her many things in life.

The author loves reading, but had few opportunities to do so while growing up. Once married she was introduced to the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew books that she admits to having collected, which collections she still retains. They were what wet her appetite. A few years ago she was introduced to Tolkien’s Lord of the Ring’s and to J. K. Rowling’s writings, which she loves.

Some of Anna’s writing recognitions: She received the Editor’s Choice Award from the International Library of Poetry and had her article entitled A New American Mother published by Desert Saints Magazine. Her short story entitled Amerine—Fairy Princess won an award and was published by Kalkion Magazine. She has won second and first places with two of her yet to be release romance series. Her third book in the Silent Warrior Trilogy, Elfs in a Conquered Realm won bronze medal at the League of Utah Writers.
Five other articles about family and relationship have been published frequently in the MOMS CLUB® of Salt Lake Valley-West. Also her love story has been published by covenant in an anthology called Angels Round About.

The Elf and the Princess by Anna del C. Dye is book one in the The Silent Warrior Trilogy. The plot is a touch of medieval, suspense, and romance. The plot is the story of a kingdom divided. Seventeen-year-old Princess Adren of Menarm is the lead character. In a world where women were expected to take a lesser role, she trains to be a warrior and secretly battles alongside seasoned combatants. The Orks murdered her people and destroyed the beautiful city. Prince Paletin vowed to protect the girl he came to love like a daughter. When the Orks attacked Paletin’s kingdom, the Elfs join the battle lead by Captain Dellin. Mystery surrounds the princess.

The Elf and the Princess is skillfully written. The plot is interesting and grabs the reader’s attention. Dye has created a medieval world that will mystify and beguile the reader. The battle scenes come to life on the pages. The characters will enchant the reader. Fans of fantasy will not want to miss out on The Elf and the Princess.

I was looking for Tolkien-esque books and happened on this one that was just released. I am a bookworm and have read countless books. None, however, has caught my interest more quickly nor kept me reading with more interest. The plot takes many twists and turns making any prediction of the ending a stab in the dark. This book would be good reading for anyone of any age that does not require a sophisticated writing style and enjoys fantasy. It can be hard to put down.

I am not much of a book reader, let alone fantasy books. I picked this up on the recommendation of friend. I was totally immerged until the finish. I recommend this book for any literature/creative writing class, most especially in the middle/high schools. Our YouTube children need fine examples of visually rich language that are more impressionable than short sound/visual bites. More, please!!!

The story was gripping and held my interest all the way to the end. It was a great fantasy tale. The characters seemed real and the story line kept you involved. It was hard to put the book down before I finished it. The battles were exciting and seemed quite real and the characters' feelings were portrayed very well.

"The Elf and the Princess" by author Anna del C. Dye was an easy and gratifying read. I LOVED it, and the text is appropriate for readers of any age.

This book is definitely for the reader who seeks adventure, enjoys war action, and relishes a little romance.

As for me, I absolutely revelled in the clues the author gives as to the mystery of the silent warrior. Even though this mystery is revealed very early in the book, there were surprises up to the very end! I also enjoyed the beautiful names she gives to the characters and places in the story. What an imagination!

This new creator of fantasy delivers the yet unimaginable. Immerse yourself in a truly delightful story, because I was! I wonder when the author will publish the second installment of the Silent Warrior Trilogy. I keep checking her website for news, because I can barely wait to get my hands and eyes on it!

It took me a couple chapters to get hooked, but then I had a hard time putting the book down to attend to real life. The life of the book was so real and compelling it made me want to be there. The surprises were impossible to predict, and kept me in suspense. My favorite genre is spy action, yet I found this book holding my attention as much as Clancy, Ludlum, or Cussler do in their fields. An excellent, gripping read! You'll enjoy it!

Usually I take a week to read a story. But this old world fantasy grabbed ahold of me body and soul. The tale is directed at young readers, both male and female, yet it will capture the hearts of audiences of any age. It would be superb to have a motion picture done of this fictional work. I look forward with much anticipation to reading the sequels of Anna del C. Dye's "The Silent Warrior Trilogy". This first of the 'Trilogy', "The Elf and The Princess", will be exciting reading for anyone!

What an interesting book. Anna has written a fairy tale. Only instead
of starting out with, Once a upon a time, she starts off in a unique way.
Death and destruction and war are followed by love. Not just love, but true love from the soul. A real fairy tale love. I was glad when everybody found love in the end and it did end with, And they lived happily ever after! Nice job, Anna.

I thoroughly enjoyed The Elf and the Princess by Anna Del C. Dye. The plot is well constructed and has plenty of twists to keep the reader turning the pages. The descriptions in the book, of people, places, and events, are rich and vivid. I was drawn into the world in the book, and lost all track of time. It is an excellent book, one that I would recommend to anyone who loves fantasy books.

I have to say that this book was excellent. I wondered about it, thought it may be a chic lit but I was wrong. It does have romance in it, but is not a romance book. I enjoyed the characters and the plot. It made for a great reading and I will get the sequel for sure. This is an author I will keep track off.

Ashley Merrill

I particularly liked how she did not go into too much detail of the battles. Don't get me wrong, Anna del C. Dye did not leave you without description of everything going on, but I find in a lot of fantasy books, when there are big battles, the description goes on for pages and pages and pages. I feel as though she gave her readers just the right amount of detail to be able to picture it all happening in your mind.
I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a book that is well put together. It is very evident to see the amount of planning and precision that Anna del C. Dye took in writing this. She will not disappoint!
