Emerald Rose by Jennifer Sharp is a short romantic story. Emerald and Sam have been friends forever; Sam is a baker and Emerald runs her own antique shop left to her by her parents after their deaths in a Valentine’s Day accident. Now it’s a week until Valentine’s Day again, a year since she lost them, and she decides to sell a precious locket that belonged to her mother. When Sam buys it, she is heartbroken, especially when he tells her it’s for a very special woman. Sam now has one week to win the heart of his special lady and he throws his all into it. Will it work? Will Emerald find the love of her life?

Emerald Rose by Jennifer Sharp is a lovely romantic story. The first page draws you in and you just know that you won't be putting it down. The story is all go; it isn’t just romance, it deals with grief too, and the importance of having people to share that grief with. The two main characters were wonderfully written, developed in a way that you really get to know them and understand who they are and you really do find yourself rooting for them all the way. It’s a nice straightforward plot, no twists, just a sweet story. I did want to give Emerald Rose a good shake a couple of times in the story though! I thoroughly enjoyed this story, and it's great way to kill a couple of hours. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys short romance stories.
