Ethan and Emma are Twins is a fun and enjoyable read. This book starts from the time the twins are being formed and born, and continues as they grow up. It shares their likes and dislikes, their similarities and their differences. Author Yael Manor allows the reader to better understand the thought processes of the twins, especially Ethan who keeps pointing and saying a word they are unfamiliar with. They can't seem to figure out what he is referring to. This illustrates how it is with each parent and how they hear their little one trying to say something - a word they are trying to form, yet not pronounced correctly, thus creating a hard time for clear understanding. It is a challenging yet fun duty to explore the mind of a young child to better understand what they are trying to say.
Illustrator Anahit Aleqsanyan does a wonderful job of painting a picture of what is going on and makes the story come to life with clear and precise illustrations. Following the life of young Ethan and Emma is enjoyable and entertaining. This would be a fun book for parents to read and share with their young child, especially if they have twins. This is a fine resource for parents with twins and one they will enjoy as well.
