Exile of Snake: Alien Invasion Series —The Second Generation by Patricia Scholes is a great story with a dystopian setting and fascinating characters. Snake is in big trouble and what he has to deal with is even more sinister and dangerous than his presumed enemies. Blades steal his pregnant wife and, after the Nevians rescue her, they steal his daughter. Snake fights to get his wife and child back, but his real enemies are neither the Blades nor the Nevians; they are beings of pure energy and they have taken control of Blades and Nevians and now have an influence over his priestess, controlling her in incomprehensible ways. If Snake can’t stop their influence on the priestess, then his people will fall. But does he have what it takes for such a fight?
Highly imaginative and written with strong conflict, Exile of Snake: Alien Invasion Series —The Second Generation is a pulsating story. The protagonist is a compelling character beset by enemies from all sides and one who is determined to protect his people. The premise is intriguing and it is interesting that the author creates a protagonist who suffers great losses. Snake is a character that readers find it easy to sympathize with because of what he goes through. The characters are likable and the author ensures that the tension stays high through each scene. The prose is crisp and the story has good plotlines. The dystopian setting is well-crafted and the vivid imagery is attention-grabbing. Patricia Scholes writes a beautiful story and infuses realism into scenes that are far removed from normal reality.
