Ann Gibson was excited about her blind date, but things did not go as planned. She was stood up by her date, yet she couldn’t help but feel excited about what had happened. If she hadn't been stood up, she would never have met Graham Adams. Graham is everything that she wished for in a life partner and it appears that Graham thinks the same of her. They think they are falling a little too fast and too hard, but there is nothing that they can do about it. The heart wants what it wants and it appears that they want each other. With something so pure and so heartwarming, what could go wrong? Are they really meant to be together?
Falling For Ann is the first book in the Gibson Family series by H. Elizabeth Austin, a light-hearted and entertaining romance that had me smiling the whole time. I have never been on a blind date so I cannot empathize with the feelings, but I could feel the excitement. The author did a wonderful job at creating a story that was believable, characters that were real, and a romance that was enjoyable. I loved the chemistry between Ann and Graham; both of them complemented each other perfectly. The “tension” created by Ann’s brothers was well placed and very well done. It added to the humor, gave depth to the plot, and made the story even more interesting for me. To say that I loved this novel would be an understatement. I connected with the story, I connected with Ann, and there is nothing that I would want the author to change in this story.
