Falling Under The Mistletoe by Evelyn Mae tells the captivating story of Callie Parker, who is recovering from ending a relationship with Jake. After returning from a holiday in Jamaica, Callie decides to focus her energy on expanding Honey, her bakery in Hopemeadow. Callie meets Gabe Montgomery who later turns out to be a businessman that could unintentionally destroy her future plans. Both Callie and Gabe inherited their companies from their grandparents but now have to make the most difficult decisions of their personal and business lives. Interference from the people around them cause both Callie and Gabe to rethink their choices but their stubbornness gets in the way. They have to choose between following their hearts or their heads. Deciding which path to follow has never been so complicated and difficult.

The perfect holiday novel, Falling Under The Mistletoe is a delightful story about two people who land themselves in a conundrum that goes from bad to worse. The story reminds us of how it feels to fall in love with the right person at the wrong time. Author Evelyn Mae captures the essence of all the characters, from Callie’s spontaneity to Gabe’s patience and Jake’s determination. I especially enjoyed the relationship between Callie and her grandmother, a reminder to take care of our elders and appreciate what they sacrifice for our benefit. The scenes and locations around Hopemeadow are vividly described, making it easy for the reader to form a mental picture. A thoroughly enjoyable novel that is highly recommended to all adults.
