The fourth book in Colleen Bratley’s The Giving Series, Fawn Finds Christmas is an enchanting tale that shows exactly why Christmas is such a wonderful season. The book is filled with lovely illustrations, but what makes it truly unique is the clever use of real photos as well. It helps make the story more real and relatable for young readers, and if you’ve ever read any of the other books in the series, you’ll recognize some of the characters. This is about finding the real meaning of Christmas, but it’s also about friendship and sharing, and it teaches children to have open minds and, more importantly, open hearts to let the magic in. I love this series, and this addition brings the season of joy and love to all of us. We need a reminder of what Christmas is truly about, and this beautifully written story is for the whole family, not just the younger ones.
