Fearless Fliers: An Izzie and Ollie Adventure by Arron McCurdy is an adventurous story of two sisters, Olivia and Isabelle, who go on a month-long trip to Uganda. They have to take two planes to travel from Vancouver to Uganda to see their grandparents. The book takes kids on a journey of what preparations are required while traveling to another country. The author takes readers methodically through the travel procedures, beginning with packing clothes. Kids are going to love this fun and adventurous story of Izzie and Ollie, and this book will definitely develop an interest for traveling in them.
I enjoyed the book very much as it gives a lot of information in a fun and engaging way. Books like this should be given to kids as they learn new concepts, ideas and messages through the story. This book helps in preparing kids for a travel adventure. Kids who have traveled can easily relate to the story of these two sisters. The book makes a good bedtime story book and it can be used in read aloud sessions in classrooms and libraries.
The illustrations are bright and cheerful and definitely add to the charm of the story. They breathe life into the characters and plot. The book, though it has a lot of depth, has been presented in a very simple and friendly manner to make it appealing to young readers. I can't wait for the next part so that I can share another adventure with Izzie and Ollie.
