Foster breathes new life into the cozy genre with a suspenseful and clever murder mystery that keeps you guessing until the end as Ginny takes on alligators, voodoo, and a killer. Foster uses a genuine tone to explore Ginny's jitters and emotions as she faces the changes in her life while maintaining who she is, working in ICU, and solving murders. Her family unit is an important element within her life as it serves as support and strength. The town is the key component of the story with its own culture and society, which brings Scottish traditions to life in a unique and charming way. Final Fling is a must-read and a must-have for every mystery reader as it possesses true originality and an upbeat spirit with Scottish charm, a suspenseful murder mystery, and a unique world view.
