Companies need to embrace uncertainty and new environments to scale and grow. Marianne Bachynski is a seasoned executive with a wealth of experience at Fortune 500 companies such as Morgan Stanley, City, and AIG. In Fit for Uncertainty, Bachynski presents a blueprint for success based on the core principles of strategic leadership, adaptive mindset, humility and empowerment, accountability and focus, effective communication, and cultural transformation. Adaptive leadership is the key to scaling with speed and pursuing cultural transformation with purpose. According to Bachynski, strategy must be at the forefront of any organization's fundamental shift toward new avenues. Strategic leaders need to be proactive, directing changes during challenging circumstances. You will also learn to see challenges as opportunities for growth and use transparency and communication to build thriving teams geared toward success.

Fit for Uncertainty is a practical guide designed to help business leaders, executives, and managers navigate ever-shifting environments and the challenges that follow in this rapidly changing world. For me, this is one of the must-have books of this year that should be on the shelf of anyone who is in a leadership position in the corporate world right now. Marianne Bachynski shares anecdotes from her own life and presents a "voice of the expert" throughout the book to make sure readers grasp the practical implications of the concepts discussed. The experts here are all veterans who have left their mark on the corporate world. Bachynski has an engaging writing style that I think will appeal to a broad range of readers. The book is accessible and easy to read. All in all, I found it to be an informative and motivational guide for business leaders.
