It had been a decade since Sir Lyle, a knight from North Tetain, had left his homeland for the land of Aeguin, hoping never to go back. When the ailing Crown Prince of North Tetain, Prince Larrson, summons him, his orders are to deliver messages to the King and his trusted allies, and take the young Prince Starmore under his wing, amid rumors of the arrival of a feared warlock in the Southern Kingdoms. But that’s not all. An ancient prophecy of doom looms large in the realm of Fallaire. Allemon, an old sage and former counselor to the King, now living under house arrest in North Tetain, has been tasked with forming The Order of the Star, an alliance meant to prevent the prophecy from coming to pass. However, the chosen members of the Order, including Sir Lyle, barely understand the scope of the prophecy or their abilities. Can they pull off the daunting mission ahead? Find out in Flight of the Midnight Prince: Volume 1 Fallaire Codices by Marvin Brauer.

If you are looking for an epic fantasy flavored with suspense, drama, adventure, and action, Flight of the Midnight Prince by Marvin Brauer is a perfect pick. From the start, Brauer wastes no time in building anticipation, introducing readers to the intriguing plot and the fascinating cast. I was not disappointed as the story lived up to its initial hype. Brauer uses a dynamic pace, accommodating both the day-to-day activities of the characters and moments of fast-paced action. This allows readers to understand the characters’ struggles and appreciate their growth. Members of the Order of the Star not only have to face personal issues and moral dilemmas, but also political conflicts and decisions that challenge tradition. The cinematic depictions drop the reader into the action, the opulent palaces, and the vast, picturesque landscapes. This page-turner is an incredible debut in the series. I loved it, and I can’t wait to read the next installment.
