Author Biography

Even as a young child I was always creating short stories and poems, filling them with colorful characters and rhyme. I would share them with anyone and everyone who would listen. Since then, I’ve progressed quite a bit to formulating longer and more complex stories and sharing them with much larger audiences. As a professional storyteller and motivator, I’m adept at using my imaginative thinking and creative flair to bring my stories to life in engaging and entertaining ways.

Everything changes when you start loving yourself. Follow Your Bliss: How to Start Living the Life of Your Dreams by Angela Cecilia is an insightful and thought-provoking read that encourages readers to follow their bliss and live the life they secretly dream about. The author’s perceptions on life, based on her experiences, are valuable and these will help readers to tune into their lives when there is so much going on around them. Instead of getting stuck in a rut, reading this book will help readers to take control of their happiness, own their mistakes, and sadness. The author’s personal story and her journey towards self-discovery, loving herself, and positive thinking reach out to readers and will help them break free from the set rules dictated by society and become mindful and free.

This book made me look at my life and see where I need to make changes by becoming aware of my thoughts and patterns, getting clear on exactly what I want, taking positive action towards my goals, and surrendering to the Universe as to how it will manifest. I am sure this book will have the same effect on readers and inspire them to love and surrender, and give them awareness so that they look at the world with new eyes. The author connects readers with the Universe and the way it works. Readers will also wake up to the fact that they all have unlimited potential and they are unlimited once they finish reading this book. It is an empowering book that will help readers get back their alignment with themselves and the Universe.

Follow Your Bliss: How to Start Living the Life of Your Dreams by Angela Cecilia is a book that will change the lives of many readers. The premise of the book is powerful and the author, looking at her own personal story, makes a troubling observation, one that many people, not only women, can relate to: “It took me thirty-seven years to realize the person I hated most in the world was me.” This happens to many of us and plenty of people actually wake up too late to the consciousness of how much they sacrifice their well-being, their self-worth, their happiness, and keep on chasing the idea of happiness offered by the world and others — if they ever wake up at all. This book teaches readers to embrace their authenticity, to rediscover the beauty and power of investing in themselves, and to seek the experience that allows them to connect most intimately with themselves.

In this book, Angela Cecilia teaches readers what it takes to take back their power from others, to steer away from the misery of the blame game, to master the spiritual treasures they carry within them, to harness the power of gratitude, to discover the strength and freedom of letting go, to grab the health in forgiveness, and a lot more. I particularly enjoyed the fact that the author allows her vulnerability to speak to readers, using her personal experiences to offer lessons that will help readers identify the path they should walk. Angela Cecilia has a tone that is appealing and a conversational style of writing that makes the reader feel as though they were seated around a campfire with a trusted friend. In Follow Your Bliss: How to Start Living the Life of Your Dreams, you’ll find the tools you need to empower yourself and embrace the liberating power of loving yourself. Very inspirational.

Follow Your Bliss: How to Start Living the Life of Your Dreams by Angela Cecilia is a self-help book that follows the precepts of the Law of Attraction as espoused in The Secret by Rhonda Byrne and the plethora of books that have emerged since Byrne first took the world by storm back in 2006. The title itself was alluded to by Joseph Campbell when he stated (paraphrased): “If you follow your bliss, doors will open.” In this book, Angela Cecilia has covered many of the limiting factors that preclude us, as human beings, from achieving happiness. Some of the areas she specifically looks at include: Learning to Love Yourself, Blame, Gratitude, Dreams, Forgiveness, Leadership, plus many more. As the title indicates, the author shows, through reference to her own personal struggles, how following your bliss is the most certain way to achieving the life you were meant for and intended for. She lays out a clear path that readers can follow to emulate the success that took her thirty-something years to achieve.

When I first picked up Follow Your Bliss: How to Start Living the Life of Your Dreams, my immediate reaction was, “Here we go again, another Law of Attraction ride on Rhonda Byrne’s coat-tails.” I am pleased to say I was pleasantly surprised by the no-nonsense, practical approach to discovering your true potential presented by author Angela Cecilia. By using her own life, fraught as it was with loathing and self-hate, as an example of what to do and what to change, she made the learning process highly personal and deeply resonant with me. To answer one of the fears she had raised when writing the book. “Yes, this material has all been covered by others hundreds of times, but yes, you did find something new, something real and something touching to me, personally, and I’m sure other readers will find exactly the same thing.” Two quotes the author used in the book struck right to my heart - 1: If you strive for conformity, everyone else will love you, except yourself. And 2: We are spiritual beings undertaking a human experience, not the other way around. This book is full of insightful and practical advice and I can definitely recommend it to someone seeking solutions to their own unhappiness.
