Davina Stuart has been a widow for two years, and to deal with the loss of her husband Ross, she wrote a book titled "Second Harvest" which became a bestseller and it is now being made into a movie. When she finds herself on a plane headed to L.A. seated next to Quinn Thomas, a handsome actor, who tells her he wants to date her, she is certain this younger man isn't serious, and is probably just looking for a one night stand, something that she is actually ok with. What she doesn't realize is that Quinn is tired of the glam lifestyle and has had dreams of his perfect woman, and it turns out that the woman in his dreams is Davi. Can Quinn convince Davi that he has fallen in love with her, and how will their lives ever fit together, she being a writer with grown children living on a farm in Canada, he a Hollywood heartthrob who could have anyone he wants? The thing is that he wants Davi!
I enjoy reading stories where older women are considered desirable, and Davi is certainly that. Davi had sort of decided after her husband Ross had died that she would be content with her farm, children, and perhaps grandchildren one day. She certainly wasn't looking for a relationship, meanwhile Quinn was drawn to her immediately. Deborah Armstrong really creates a relationship that is electric between Quinn and Davi, and the irony of her wanting the one night stand while he wanted more makes it an interesting situation. "Forever Love" allows the reader a behind the scenes look at how media always seems to be on hand where celebrities are concerned. There were several secondary characters that really rounded out the story, and kept the plot moving along. I also enjoyed reading about Davi's farm and her "girls". I could easily envision the barns, cattle, etc., that were a part of Davi's ranch. Ms. Armstrong provides the readers a wonderfully sweet romance, with a bit of sizzling heat, and the added twist of several suspenseful moments. All of that makes this a quick read and I was left wanting much more!
