In the introduction, the author shares her experiences and how the idea behind this book came about. It was while she was recuperating from an injury due to a fall while skating that the idea of sharing the lives of fellow skaters came to her. Learn what motivates them, the thrills and perils of skating, their challenges and fears, and their ultimate triumphs, both in the skating ring and in life.

The writer has the incredible gift of making readers know what it feels like to skate, the exhilarating joy of the sport, and the benefits it brings.
