Children's Story: Fruzzle's Mystery Talent: A Bed Time Fantasy Story for Children ages 3-10 by Karen Brueggeman and Briana Paddock is an endearing story written for small kids with a lot of fantasy, thrills, and beautiful illustrations. The story is set in Fruzzleville where every Fruzzle has a magical talent and a magical power. The book is educational with a message that is encouraging and motivating. The color changing of the Fruzzles according to their talents is also a very interesting concept.
The book mainly caters to the age group 3-10 and there are underlying messages for children to understand and adopt in their daily lives. The authors have put across these concepts very subtly. There are some good lessons to be learned. The book will make an excellent bedtime story and it is ideal for read-aloud sessions, too. The illustrations are also very colorful, bright, and cheerful, attracting young readers. All the Fruzzles - Brown Fruzzle, Wizard Fruzzle, Lovable Fruzzle, Star Fruzzle - are interesting characters with depth in their behavior and personalities. The children also have a task in the book which makes them more attentive while reading. They can check out their answers in the copyright page.
The book is ideal for kids and I hope the authors contemplate making it a series with different educational concepts. These friendly Fruzzles will remain in your hearts for a long, long time.
