Author Biography

After working in the medical field and then the educational field, Geri earned her BS Degree in Business Administration and Computer Science and was an MIS Technology Coordinator in a school district. She wrote her first book entitled 'Black Coal & White Lies" about a young girl growing up in the 50s where discrimination was prevalent in religion also. Future Unknown was written because you never know what awaits you each day so have faith in God that He is leading you. Only God can help you to get through a storm, so believe!

Future Unknown by Geri Monaghan is a touching story that follows Anna and her husband Gavin, whose lives take a drastic turn after an unexpected car accident. Despite having a wonderful summer and attending an exciting car show, the couple's joy is cut short. Anna sustains minor injuries and whiplash, but Gavin's injuries are severe, requiring multiple surgeries, feeding and respiratory tubes, and constant care. Anna stays by Gavin's side and becomes his voice, praying for him and keeping their loved ones informed about his progress. Everyone, including medical practitioners, comes together to ensure Gavin's recovery, but the healing journey is full of challenges. Each day brings its own struggles, but Anna remains hopeful, holding on to her faith in God's divine grace.

Future Unknown is a captivating story that explores the unpredictability of life and the importance of faith in navigating through challenges. It contains realistic and religious themes while also touching on the support from friends and family, highlighting the importance of love and assistance in overcoming obstacles. Geri Monaghan's storytelling ability shines through in her depiction of Anna and Gavin's relationship, effectively portraying the challenges they faced before the accident and the dynamics of their relationship. Anna's tolerance and unconditional love are admirable, and the strong bond she shares with her husband is evident throughout the story. The addition of humorous and uplifting messages from Joe, their supportive family friend, also added a unique dimension to the characters and their journey. The author builds suspense with the continuous ups and downs of Gavin’s health, leading to a climactic and shocking end. This is a must-read for anyone who loves emotional tales about hope and faith.
