Green Pickle Juice by Melanie J. Vogel and Uncle Dave Howard is a fun and entertaining children’s picture book about the many uses of pickle juice. When noting the ever so many uses, the book also goes into comical moments of what it shouldn’t be used for, which is just as interesting as the helpful tips. Green Pickle Juice has a lovely rhyming scheme throughout the narration. The illustrations by Uncle Dave Howard are bright and colorful and bring a sense of humor to the storyline as well with their myriad expressions that will hold any child and nearby adult captive with their clever faces and poses.
Green Pickle Juice by Melanie J. Vogel and Uncle Dave Howard really got my attention with this book. As an avid pickle juice user myself, I like to spice up my chicken noodle soup with the zesty bread and butter pickle variety. I loved that they are teaching families to take note of how much food is going to waste in homes worldwide. You will be shocked by the many uses that you will be able to find for your excess pickle juice. An extra pickle juice tip is that it can be used for weight loss as well. Children's books that find a way to do more than just tell a story, but also create a ripple effect in the health and future of our world, are few and far between and this is a book that your kids are going to love as much as you will.
