Greetings! by Raven Howell is a wonderful journey through the seasons or, as the author puts it, a poetic romp through the seasons. Every season has its own charm and this book captures the beauty of the season and the changes nature goes through while the seasons change. When Spring comes after Winter, it is time to bid adieu to chilled toes and welcome the greenery and listen to the birds sing. Spring gives way to Summer and then is time to be a beach bum or listen to the bees humming and buzzing. Summer is followed by Fall and then comes Winter again. Every season has a beauty and charm of its own and that is what the author has tried to convey through this delightful book.
It is a beautiful way to introduce children to the four seasons; Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall. The illustrations by Ann Pilicer are vibrant and they make the seasons vivid to young readers. The book is an entertaining and delightful way of making children understand the seasons and how nature goes through the transformations beautifully. Each season has its own charm and beauty and that is evident through the wonderful illustrations. It will also help children enjoy the seasons and appreciate the beauty of nature and its changes.
