Losing weight can seem like a monumental task, but it doesn't have to be. Author Lozza introduces a simple and practical guide to help you lose those extra pounds that are hindering you from reaching your optimal weight and your best possible physique. You don't need trendy diets or fancy gyms if you grab a copy of Health in a Nutshell and Kids Health. In this book, Lozza focuses on the root cause of most people's weight gain -- carbohydrate intake. The author presents a list of foods with low GI that reduce your carb intake while providing all the necessary nutrition for your body. These include lean meats, yogurt, legumes, fruits, and whole-grain nuts. The book also explores the benefits of walking, maintaining good cholesterol, the negative effects of alcohol consumption, and more.

For readers with hectic schedules who feel the need to lose weight, Health in a Nutshell and Kids Health is an absolute must-read. Offering stories, helpful tips, and keen insights, Lozza presents an actionable guide you can use to maintain a healthy lifestyle without wasting time on fad diets or splurging money on expensive gyms. Lozza encourages readers to drink lots of water and warns of obesity-related diseases. The second half of the book focuses on healthy eating for active kids. Parents will learn about maintaining a healthy body weight for their kids to help them cultivate a healthy body image. What I found most impressive about Lozza's guidelines is their accessibility; they are practically applicable in everyday life scenarios for most people. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone seeking to achieve their wellness goals through an easy-to-follow health guide.
