Author Biography

Jeanette Vuuren (Jansen van Vuuren) lives in Adelaide, Australia with her husband and two children.

Her educational background as a qualified teacher with a further diploma in Remedial Education and over fourteen years teaching experience, gained in South Africa, the UK and Australia has given her a deep empathy and understanding for the special needs of students.

Working with Kindergarten to Year 11 students, with diverse backgrounds, in different subject fields as a mainstream, special needs and remedial teacher, helped her adapt her teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of students.

She especially aims to write educational and story books, including the relevant concepts applicable for specific age groups, integrating learning content with different curriculum, subject fields and life lessons.

While staying at home when her two children were young, her passion for writing started when she was doing research on remedial education and learning disabilities, creating integrated lesson plans for differentiated classes.

She pursued her passion for writing in 2009 to assist a student who was not able to sound out words, but made up her own story by looking at the pictures.

Jeanette has published her first series on honeybees and is in the process of expanding the series with teachers' resources, fun activities and other series and will have it available in paperback soon.

Honeybee's Dictionary 2 Volume 12: Honeybee Words A-Z & Meanings (Honeybee Series) by Jeanette Vuuren is the perfect educational book to teach kids about the world of honeybees. This is the twelfth book in the Honey Bee series and the second dictionary book that has more words related to honeybees. This book teaches kids all the words related to the honeybee and their world from A-Z with explanation and extra information. The honeybee terminology is useful and it teaches kids new words. The book explores the world of honeybees and enhances the knowledge of children about honeybees. Apart from being a dictionary, the word list at the end of the book is very useful and it gives an excellent summary.

It is a perfect book for kids as it gives them new information, or more information to be precise, about honeybees and their world. From A - Z, children get detailed information about the parts of the body and everything related to honeybees. It is a good book to improve vocabulary and learn new words. The illustrations are colorful and bright. They give clarity to the concept the author is trying to convey. Students, teachers, educators and parents will benefit from this book as each of them can use it in a different way to teach kids. The book is written with a particular purpose, that of teaching bee-related words to kids and also passing on relevant information.

Educational books like this are the perfect way to teach kids. It makes the concept and the thought clear and it helps parents and educators to teach kids more easily. It is a good book for school libraries and also for parents to have in their personal collection as it makes teaching fun. The illustrations, as in all the other books in the series, are excellent and bright, and convey the concept with clarity. This book has been made exciting and interesting with some great facts and pictures that are appealing to kids. I am enjoying all the Honey Bee books by this author. Practicing names and symbols from one to ten, Honeybee's Silly Rhyme has basic information about honey bees and this makes it a book worth reading and owning.
