After watching the evening news or reading the headlines, you may have decided that it is impossible to raise Godly children. Scripture tells us that “with God all things are possible.” David Jeremiah offers parents words of support. “To be called “Mom or Dad is a tremendous privilege with a corresponding challenge that is just as great.” Hopeful Parenting is not an owner’s manual. Children are a blessing from our heavenly Father. Each child has unique personalities and needs. Along with the blessings, come responsibilities and challenges. Some children are more challenging than others.

Jeremiah offers ten wonderful suggestions for communicating with children. Children want and need boundaries. Talk to your children; read to them, and value them. Everyone needs encouragement, including children. Be affectionate with children and learn to have patience. The most important lesson you can teach your child is to love the Heavenly Father. Children learn by observing those around them. If they see a parent pray, they will learn to pray. If they see a parent living a Godly life, they will learn to live a Godly life.

Hopeful Parenting is a lifeline of encouragement in a sea of uncertainty. David Jeremiah reaches out to parents in a sincere manner. He offers hope and encouragement.   Hopeful Parenting is easy to understand and read. This book should be required reading before becoming a parent; however, it is never too late. Hopeful Parenting would make a great gift for expecting parents. I highly recommend Hopeful Parenting to all parents.

I think every parent or perspective parent should read this book. I wish I would have had it when my daughter was young.

We bought this book after reading a few Christian parenting books that, to us, seemed a bit more culturally based instead of biblically based. This book gave some really good solid principles for raising Godly children. It also made me look at Bible passages again and see completely new insights into them and how to raise my children. Great Book!!
