I loved the premise of Hover Car: How far into the future will you travel for love? by Derek Vaughn. Harold wants to show off in front of his wife and friends, so he steals a hover car from his place of work. But Harold doesn't know that the prototype isn't working correctly, so instead of driving the car home he ends up driving it into the future! Harold freaks out when he realizes he is fifty years in the future. Life is pretty bleak with the clones doing all the work. Harold doesn't know how to work the hover car or how to fix the bugs inside. He doesn't want to stay in the future but he doesn't know how to get home, either.

Time travel is one of my favorite concepts, so I loved this story. Back to the Future was one of my all time favorite movies and Stephen King's JFK novel where a man goes back in time to stop the assassination is another favorite book. I think time travel is such a smart and cool, edgy topic to write about. Especially when something goes wrong, and it always goes wrong! There are so many neat ways that characters can get messed up. I think a lot of science fiction fans will love this premise, this topic, and this story because of the futuristic setting, the time travel, and the fact that Harold has to fix his mistakes or stay stuck in the future forever.
