Being in a state of change and constant growth just might be the best way to live and I Transform, You Transform: A Self Improvement Autobiography To Help You by Andrew Bushard presents a compelling argument of exactly that idea. Andrew uses the places where he lived during the different stages of his life to organize the chapters of his book. In Sioux Falls, SD he determined that he was not a chubby person and therefore decided to engage in a life of physical fitness and also decided that he enjoyed being creative. In Rockford, IL, Andrew took earlier ideas that he had developed and began to put them into action. One particular idea was to be a teetotaler after watching what alcoholism does to a person first hand. In Mankato, MN his activism grew extensively. However, his major relocation to the South to Austin, TX is also the place where the major transformations in his life took place as well. Following each chapter of his experiences in each location, Andrew lists a series of questions that the reader can use to search their own way of thinking and their own goals for changing and transforming their life.
Some of the radical ideas that Andrew Bushard discusses are a little out on the edge, but those are the sort of things which motivate a person to question and explore who they are and what they are looking for in life. The most helpful aspect of this book is the lists of questions that he places at the end of each section. They are in perfect harmony with the lessons and discoveries that he made in each place and help guide the reader’s thought process, even if the reader doesn’t particularly approve of Andrew's ideas.
