After “whacking” a beehive while trying to get honey, Bear runs for his life as angry bees chase him down from the woods and into a river. When the bees leave, Bear comes out of the river and finds Fox, who had been watching all along, on the riverbank. Bear is surprised to hear Fox say he could have borrowed the bees' honey instead of attacking their hive. Bear is interested in Fox’s tricks and accepts Fox’s request when she asks him to stick with her so she can teach him more tricks. The two spend a lot of time together and before they know it, it is already fall, time for Bear to hibernate. Will Fox stick around and wait for Bear or will she find another friend? Find out in Fred Kahn’s I’m Sticking with You.

I’m Sticking With You is a children’s picture book by Fred Kahn. Fox and Bear became good friends when Bear got stung by bees. They went on exciting adventures together all around the valley. Bear taught Fox how to fish and didn’t keep company with the other bears as much as he did with Fox. They lit fires at night and snuggled together to keep warm. Fox showed Bear how to use the sky to navigate. They were inseparable until fall came and it was time for Bear to hibernate. Fox helped Bear dig his winter den but felt sad because she would miss her friend. She wondered if Bear would still play with her or want to remain friends once his hibernation was over in the spring.

What type of friends do you have? Are they loyal to you or would they neglect you if they hadn’t seen you for a while? I’m Sticking With You is a delightful children’s picture book with two adorable characters, Fox and Bear. I like the positive message that the author, Fred Kahn, conveys about being friends despite one's differences. Bear liked being with Fox and they learned new things from each other. They were caring and thoughtful of each other’s needs. It’s nice to have great friends to have fun with and ones who you can always depend on to make you laugh or wipe a tear away. I’m Sticking With You is a picture book with beautiful illustrations and is highly recommended for young children.
