"Impulsive" is a short story written by Christine McGreggor. It tells the story of Kara Steward who is attracted towards bad boys, but then she meets Thomas Campbell, who is the very opposite of the guys she had liked in the past. She likes impulsive, bad boys. She has a picture of a perfect man in her mind and Thomas was not it. So, instead of trying to like him for who he is, Kara sets out to try and mold Thomas into her ideal man.

Kara is an annoying character in the beginning and the middle of the story but it is nice how she develops into a wonderful person with the help of Thomas. She finally moves out of her friend’s house and lessens her spending to afford her own place. Thomas is really nice and a lot of times in the book it appears as if he was being taken advantage of by Kara. Kara wants to transform Thomas and to make him a bad boy but I think the opposite happens. Kara is the one who has changed with the influence of Thomas. The couple, Michelle and Hayes, are the ones Kara has been living with and they are great characters. I think Mrs. T, the neighbor, is also a good addition to the book. "Impulsive" is a short and sweet read. If Christine McGreggor ever decides to rewrite it and make it into a longer story I would definitely read it again.
