Into Magnolia picks up about five years after the second book in the Sandy Cove series, Through the Tears. Michelle and Steve now have a five-year-old daughter, Michelle is in her first year teaching at Magnolia Middle School, and Steve’s job is going well at the law firm. This book centers around one of Michelle’s problem students, Amber Gamble. As Michelle hears about the difficult issues in Amber’s personal life, she starts reaching out to her to try to help. Would this cause problems for Michelle and her family? In the meantime, Michelle and Steve start seeing bruises on her daughter with no explanation of where they came from.

I like that Rosemary Hines created Amber Gamble and how she let Amber deal with her issues through anger and getting into trouble in school. She has to learn at a very early age the consequences of her rebellion. The way Amber warmed up to Michelle was so very heartwarming, and I thoroughly enjoyed the journey through her issues and the difficult decisions she had to make. Amber Gamble turned out to be an amazing young lady, and I was very proud of her!

Overall, this is an awesome series. Michelle’s story is exciting and interesting and once you start reading the first book, you just have to read the other two. I highly recommend Into Magnolia and the Sandy Cove series if you enjoy a good, clean Christian story to read! And oh, I really appreciate Ms. Hines so clearly explaining how that when we give our lives to the Lord, that He will be there for us, whatever we go through. We just need to Trust Him.
